Duthler’s Property Being Converted into Mixed Use Project
Groundbreaking for a new mixed-use project at 648 Bridge Street NW (the old Duther’s Family Foods) was held on December 19, 2024.
The project is now underway with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Community Revitalization Program and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority's approval of local contribution to a $3.6 million dollar Brownfield Plan and a 15-year Neighborhood Enterprise Zone valued at $3 million. This project is the second from Talbot Development and will convert the long-vacant Duthler's Family Foods grocery store on Bridge Street into a five-story mixed-use building with 148 market-rate residential units.
Attendees included: Mayor Rosalyn Bliss (Mayor Rosalynn Bliss), Pinnacle Construction Group, and Mackenzie Miller, Economic Development Coordinator for The City of Grand Rapids.
The project is slated to open in Summer of 2026.
