“I am a West Grand resident, with two adult children. I became involved as a volunteer of GRPS and West Grand Neighborhood Organization shortly after my family moved into the neighborhood in 2007. I have been working for WGNO since July 2015 and it has been the most rewarding experience of my lifetime. I love our neighborhood & enjoy working with neighbors!”

“Extremely passionate about bringing community together and especially the Westside!

Over the past decade, I have served in various roles on the Westside; Neighbor, Intern, Crime Prevention Coordinator, Community Organizer, West Side Community Cleanup Co-Chair and Executive Director.

I enjoy working with neighbors and community partners to make the Westside a fun and safe place to live, learn, work, and play. Some of my many projects include; starting a community garden in partnership with The Rapids & John Ball Zoo, teaching safety practices at school assemblies and neighborhood events, started thriving community events like the Annual Westside Trunk-or-Treat, and served on a variety of committees.”

“I’m a Westsider transplant (originally from the West coast of Florida). I’ve always been passionate about neighbors since I was very young. I joined the Navy right out of highschool and met my partner in life (a Grand Rapidian). After the service we moved back to West Michigan to raise our large family. I pursued my passion for people and neighborhoods and earned an MSW while interning at Steepletown Neighborhood Services. I joined the West Grand team in 2015 and this has been one of the most rewarding career experiences in my life.”

Most of our staff is trained for Auto Theft Prevention and can help.
