Amway Soccer Stadium Update

Rockford Construction has sent a construction update on the Amway Soccer Stadium to share with neighbors.

Following up on our previous communication, here are some important updates regarding upcoming Phase 1 work:

  • Fencing Installation

    • Scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 16

    • This work is related to the Phase 1 area noted in the previously issued flyer

    • The Pearl St. sidewalk south of the current Big Boy will be closed from Mt. Vernon to Summer Ave.

  • Parking Changes

    • The two parking lots east of Summer Ave will be closed to public parking

    • Signage will be placed at lot entrances to alert the public

    • Parking kiosks in those lots will be removed on Tuesday, April 15 by the City

  • Road Access

    • We are expecting to close Summer Ave. starting May 1, between Blumrich St. and Lake Michigan Dr.

  • Next Steps

    • We’ll share more information soon on upcoming impacts to roads as we continue coordination with the utility provider and the City of Grand Rapids.
