Cleaner, Greener GR! 〰️

When we think of trash in our neighborhoods, do we truly look at equitable solutions?

Based on real life experiences we know that certain aspects of our trash system and programs available are not equitable for all residents in the City of Grand Rapids. To that end, the Neighborhood Association Collaborative (NAC) has researched and put together data about illegal dumping, Dumpster Days (also known to the city leadership as Neighborhood Cleanup).

This all started when we put together possible solutions for trash equity for initiatives and programs in our city. If you would like to see what we have put together check out the PowerPoint Presentation below. We would love the renters, homeowners, landlords, organizations and business owners located in the City of Grand Rapids to check them out and afterwards take the Trash Equity Survey.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COLLABORATIVE

The Neighborhood Association Collaborative (NAC) of Grand Rapids is a group of Neighborhood associations in the City of Grand Rapids working together! We collaborate to share best practices, knowledge, resources and even technical support to each other to better help our neighbors.

We have volunteered at, ran workshops and shared resource tables at the Grand Rapids Neighborhood Summit. All of us worked together to create a Neighborhood Association Guide. With the help of Staff from The City of Grand Rapids we were able to get the guide printed and handed it out at the neighbors who attended Summit so they could connect with their neighborhood!
