The History:
The community cleanup started as a grassroots effort in 2009 when a pair of west side residents got together with their neighbors!
This event has since grown into a larger effort and most recently had over 1000 participants spread out across the City of Grand Rapids! Partnering with other neighborhood associations, businesses and organizations. Spreading it out to make it more accessible to many neighbors. We are focusing our cleanup efforts in multiple neighborhoods in the City of Grand Rapids.
A block party for registered volunteers is being held at John Ball Zoo after the cleanup.
